Everything this site stores in your browser, and why. Last updated 21 September 2026.
The short version
We do not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies or any third-party tracker. That is why there is no cookie banner on this site: we do not use anything that requires your consent, so asking for it would be theater.
Traffic measurement uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not fingerprint visitors. It counts page views, referrers and country at an aggregate level and cannot follow you to another site. There is no Google Analytics here and no advertising pixel of any kind.

Two of these arrive with features that are still being built: the vote identifier ships with the vote control, and the edit session ships with the submission flow. They are listed now so this page is complete on the day they appear rather than a week later.
Embedded content
Listing pages may embed a video or a terminal recording hosted elsewhere. Those providers can set their own cookies once the embed loads, under their own policies. Where we can we load such embeds only after you click to play.
How to control it
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear site storage, usually under privacy settings. Blocking the strictly necessary items above will not stop you reading the directory, but voting and listing edits will stop working, since those items are what make them possible. Nothing you block will cause us to track you another way.
We honor Global Privacy Control signals where they apply. Since we do not sell or share personal data for advertising, there is nothing for the signal to switch off, but we treat it as an objection to any non-essential processing all the same.

Changes
If we ever add something that needs consent, we will add a real consent control before it loads, not after. The date at the top changes whenever this notice does.
