Submit your app

How it works

Three steps to a live listing

AppLauncher is a curated directory, not a submission form with a queue behind it. Here is exactly what happens between pasting your URL and having a page that keeps working.

The three steps

  1. Step 1

    Submit

Paste your app URL and we pre-fill the name, tagline, description, logo and platforms from your own page. You edit the draft, add screenshots and features, then confirm with an emailed link. No account to create.

  2. Step 2

    We review

A person opens your app and checks it against the published quality bar. Free submissions are reviewed and scheduled inside 30 days. Fast Track and above are reviewed within 24 hours.

  3. Step 3

    You launch

You get a dated launch slot, a week in the feed with votes and comments, an embeddable badge, and a permanent listing that keeps working on category and platform pages long after launch day.

Queue times

What the wait actually looks like

Two numbers matter when you are planning a launch: when a person looks at your app, and when it goes live. Both are published.

Launch slot
Launch date assigned 14 to 30 days out

We cap the free wait at 30 days by opening more slots per week rather than letting the line grow. If we cannot schedule you inside 30 days we tell you why.

Featured Launch and Spotlight pick an exact launch date instead of taking the next open slot, which is what makes them plannable inside a release sprint.

The quality bar

What we check before approving

The same six things, every time, for every tier. Nothing here is subjective taste.

  • Live and usable today. Anyone can install it or sign up right now. Waitlists, private betas and coming-soon pages are not launches yet.
  • On a domain you control. A registered domain, not a free hosting subdomain and not an app store link on its own.
  • A landing page that explains the product. Enough copy that a stranger understands what the app does, who it is for and how to start.
  • A working install or signup path. A download, a package command, a store listing or an account form that actually completes.
  • At least one real screenshot. Your interface, not a stock mockup. Screenshots are what make a listing worth reading.
  • Three to eight written features. Short, specific, in your words. This is the part search engines and AI answer engines quote.

Not a fit: directories, template and boilerplate packs, courses and ebooks, affiliate resale sites, and apps that do not exist yet. Every rejection reason we use is named and explained on the submission guidelines page.

After launch

The part most directories skip

Launch day is a spike. A listing that keeps ranking is the reason to be here.

A permanent listing

Launch week ends, the listing does not. It stays at its own URL and keeps appearing on your category hub, every platform you ship on and the tags you were given, with structured features, use cases and an FAQ that answer engines can read.

A badge to embed

Approved listings get a copy-paste badge in light and dark, three sizes, linking back to your listing. It ships in the approval email with your launch date and a short promotion checklist.

A link you can earn

Every outbound link runs through a tracked 301 that adds ref=applauncher, so referrals show up in your analytics. The link starts nofollow and turns dofollow when you pass 10 upvotes in the launch window, when a verified badge is live on your site, or when an editor picks the listing. We never sell the attribute.

Questions

Before you submit

Do I need an account to submit?
No. You paste a URL, edit the draft and enter an email. Clicking the emailed link verifies the address and submits the listing. That same link is how you edit the listing later, and we reissue it whenever you ask.
How long does review really take?
Free submissions are reviewed and scheduled within 30 days, and most are faster. Fast Track, Featured Launch and Spotlight are reviewed within 24 hours. Review is a person opening your app, not an automated check.
What happens if you reject my app?
You get a named reason code and a sentence explaining it, so you know exactly what to change. Every reason code is published on the submission guidelines page. If you paid, you are refunded in full, automatically, in the same email.
Can I edit my listing after it is live?
Yes. Use your magic link at any time to update the description, screenshots, features, pricing or store links. Substantial edits are re-reviewed before they go live.
Can I launch the same app twice?
Yes, as a relaunch when there is a real reason: a major version, a new platform, a rebuild. A relaunch gets a fresh dated slot and keeps the same listing URL, so the page never loses its history. Fast Track includes one relaunch credit.
Does paying make approval more likely?
No. Editorial review applies to every tier, and a rejected paid submission is refunded in full. Paying buys review speed, placement and editorial effort, never approval, ranking or the link attribute.
